I hearken you back to your elementary school days; do you remember how you felt on the last day of school, when that final bell rang signifying the start of your summer? Well, that's how it feels to be a tax practitioner today (or the spouse of a tax practitioner). Our offices will remain open this week, but all of our staff members will be taking some much needed and well-deserved time off in the coming weeks.
To add a little mass to this message and in support of our goal to help you become more aware of the impact of taxes on your financial situation, I'd like to share with you the story of Douglass Stives, CPA. Don and Company, THANK YOU! For the 1st time in my 28 years of business I have my taxes done ON TIME! I have had 2 different accountants the 1st for 25 years, he always forced me into an extension for reasons only known to him. I could never shop banks or look for other viable funding options due to the unknown of where my business was financially from the previous fiscal year(my extension was usually done by August if not extended out again) the lenders want timely data. I look forward to our relationship and your guidance on how I can make the proper purchases at the correct time which will give me the tools I desparately need for my business while getting the qualified deductions.
